Solway Sleuth-Hounds:The First Recruit

Mystery and adventure in south west Scotland at the time of Robert Burns. To enter the Sleuth-Hounds site click on the photograph of Criffel below.

Much of the story takes place on the north western coast of the Solway Firth, the part which is dominated by the hill Criffel. The name of the hill dates from Viking times when it originally meant Crow's Hill or Raven's Hill.

The above information is taken from the reference section because, although fiction, Solway Sleuth-Hounds has been carefully researched and there is an extensive reference section complete with photographs.

Note. All the illustrations in Solway Sleuth-Hounds are in black and white and the above photograph is not reproduced in the book.
