About the author

Here you can read something about Mary -- her other books, her interest in history and her dogs.

About Rooskie

Rooskie is called after the little dog in Solway Sleuth-Hounds who is also modelled on him. Here is a short not on the real Rooskie taken from the end of the reference section.

The next two sections are taken from different sections of Mary's site. To get back to the Solway Sleuth-Hounds site you may have to click on the link to Mary's Home Page and re- enter the Sleuth-Hounds site from there.

The geographical background.

Solway Sleuth-Hounds is set firmly in a very beautiful part of Scotland. Here you can see some photographs of the region. The pictures in Solway Sleuth-Hounds are all in black and white but here you can see some colour photographs from another part of Mary's web site.

Rooskie

Rooskie is called after the little dog in Solway Sleuth-Hounds. Here you can read about the real Rooskie. The earlier link about Rooskie was to a page in the reference section of the book but this link takes you to Rooskie's section of Mary's web site and gives much more information.

Rooskie is a little Papillon and he does dog dancing or, to give it its proper name, Heelwork to Music. Just click on the photograph to see photographs and read all about him.
